If you don’t know our story, our daughter Gianna Grace Surock was born October 8th 2023 at Ruby Memorial where she was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. HLHS is a Congenital Heart Defect that occurs in infants prenatal. It causes the Left side of the heart to not properly develop leaving the heart with only its right side not giving the body the proper blood flow it needs. Due to Gianna’s complicated heart anatomy she passed away 2 days after birth with her loving family by her side. Gianna’s Legacy is a Non-profit started in honor of our daughter to help families like ours while in the hospital fighting the good fight. The mother, the woman who showed just how strong a person she is. in 4 days she went from pregnant to in labor, birthing a child, recover and lose the child she carried for 9 months. The backbone of our family. Without her nothing would be possible. She is a fighter, loving, compassionate human being who loves serving others.
